Welcome to the Baltimore Chapter of the So What Else Food Rescue Bank!

The So What Else Baltimore Food Chapter was founded in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and pervasive, systemic hunger in Baltimore. Today, it provides over a million pounds of food to 40+ sites around the City plus dozens of home deliveries to those who cannot travel to any of these distribution sites for various reasons, such as physical disability. Unlike other food banks, So What Else does not charge for food delivery. In order to meet demand, additional donations and volunteers are needed.

Baltimore Resource Center in South Baltimore

In 2023, So What Else Baltimore proudly opened its very first brick-and-mortar Resource Center in the heart of Southwest Baltimore, allowing the chapter to further support the surrounding Carrollton Ridge community. Though most clients are from the area, all Maryland residents are welcome to stop by and pick up from the center.
