CHECK THIS OUT! We are excited to announce the start of the 2019 So What Else Big Idea Shark Tank Competition.

From now until the end of summer our different youth programs will come up with a Big Idea of how they can serve others and create positive change in their communities.

There will be one winner announced at the 2019 So What Else Gala. The winning site will receive seed funding that will make their big idea a reality!

We already have 2 entries from our Baltimore sites! Make sure to follow along as more of our sites, spread across DC and MD, enter their ideas.

Pedestal Gardens - Baltimore City:

“Create an Edible Salad Food Garden for our community. We build, construct, plant and demolish our goodies! Growing lettuce, spinach, strawberries and sunflowers. We cultivate, harvest and smash nourishment on a regular basis.”

Augusta Fells Savage Institute for Visual Arts - SWE Vegan Cooking Program - Baltimore City:

“We are going to create a cookbook filled with recipes based on the free food we get.  If we win we’d love to print the book and give it away at the various food rescue weekly events - this is where people in the food deserts are able to receive “free veggies”.  Given problem that people frequently do not know how to prepare the various veggies we believe a recipe/cookbook would be powerful. “
